Design Specification Introduction Goals and Objectives GameForge is a graphical tool used to aid in the design and creation of video games. It attempts to bring game development down to a level that any computer savvy user can understand, without requiring masterful programming ability. A user with limited Microsoft DirectX and/or Visual C++ programming knowledge will be able to construct a basic, 2-D arcade game. GameForge limits the amount of actual code written by the user, if not eliminating it completely. It will also assist experienced programmers in generating the Microsoft DirectX and Microsoft Windows9x overhead necessary for basic game construction, allowing them to concentrate on more detailed game design issues and implementation.

Objectives The purpose of this notebook is to give you a brief introduction to the DiscreteWavelets Toolbox and show you how to use it to load images. Some basic image manipulation is illustrated as well. You will also learn how to use measures and tools such as cumulative energy, entropy, PSNR, and Huffman coding. Help on the DiscreteWavelets Toolbox Help for the toolbox is available by clicking on Help and then Product Help (or press F1) and then clicking on the DiscreteWavelets Toolbox. Several demos and examples are available as well by clicking on the Demos tab on the Help menu. Image Basics The DiscreteWavelets Toolbox comes with 18 grayscale images and 9 color images for you to use. There are three functions available to tell you more about these images. The first function is called |ImageList|. This function can tell you the names and sizes of the digital images in the Toolbox.

Abstract: This application note helps system designers choose the correct external components for use with the MAX16948 dualremote antenna LDO/switch, thus ensuring that automobile-regulated phantom antenna supply and output-current-monitoring circuitrymeet performance Objectives. An electronic calculator is provided that helps specify the critical external components for theMAX16948, thus reducing design time. The calculator also determines the device's analog output voltage, output current-limitthreshold, and output current-sensing accuracies. The calculator includes new automatic Step By Step feature that assists designerswith component choice. To use the new automatic feature, click on the Step By Step button relative to the desired section.

是一本介绍java基础应用的好书 Java For Artists targets both the undergraduate computer science or information technology student and the practicing programmer. It is both an introductory-level textbook and trade book. As a textbook it employs learning Objectives, skill-building exercises, suggested projects, and self-test questions to reinforce the learning experience. The projects offered range from the easy to the extremely challenging. It covers all the topics you’d expect to find in an introductory Java programming textbook and then some. As a trade book it goes purposefully deeper into topics cut short or avoided completely in most introductory textbooks. Its coverage of advanced GUI programming techniques, network programming and object-oriented theory will enable you to take your skills to a higher level.

Sensing and planning are at the core of robot motion. Traditionally, mobile robots have been used for performing various tasks with a general-purpose processor on-board. This book grew out of our research enquiry into alternate architectures for sensor-based robot motion. It describes our research starting early 2002 with the Objectives of obtaining a time, space and energy-efficient solution for processing sensor data for various robotic tasks. New algorithms and architectures have been developed for exploration and other aspects of robot motion. The research has also resulted in design and fabrication of an FPGA-based mobile robot equipped with ultrasonic sensors. Numerous experiments with the FPGA-based mobile robot have also been performed and they confirm the efficacy of the alternate architecture.

Computational models are commonly used in engineering design and scientific discovery activities for simulating complex physical systems in disciplines such as fluid mechanics, structural dynamics, heat transfer, nonlinear structural mechanics, shock physics, and many others. These simulators can be an enormous aid to engineers who want to develop an understanding and/or predictive capability for complex behaviors typically observed in the corresponding physical systems. Simulators often serve as virtual prototypes, where a set of predefined system parameters, such as size or location dimensions and material properties, are adjusted to improve the performance of a system, as defined by one or more system performance Objectives. Such optimization or tuning of the virtual prototype requires executing the simulator, evaluating performance objective(s), and adjusting the system parameters in an iterative, automated, and directed way. System performance Objectives can be formulated, for example, to minimize weight, cost, or defects; to limit a critical temperature, stress, or vibration response; or to maximize performance, reliability, throughput, agility, or design robustness. In addition, one would often like to design computer experiments, run parameter studies, or perform uncertainty quantification (UQ). These approaches reveal how system performance changes as a design or uncertain input variable changes. Sampling methods are often used in uncertainty quantification to calculate a distribution on system performance measures, and to understand which uncertain inputs contribute most to the variance of the outputs. A primary goal for Dakota development is to provide engineers and other disciplinary scientists with a systematic and rapid means to obtain improved or optimal designs or understand sensitivity or uncertainty using simulationbased models. These capabilities generally lead to improved designs and system performance in earlier design stages, alleviating dependence on physical prototypes and testing, shortening design cycles, and reducing product development costs. In addition to providing this practical environment for answering system performance questions, the Dakota toolkit provides an extensible platform for the research and rapid prototyping of customized methods and meta-algorithms
