This document is an operation guide for the MPC8XXFADS board. It contains operational, functional and general information about the FADS. The MPC8XXFADS is meant to serve as a platform for s/ w and h/w development around the MPC8XX family processors. Using its on-board resources and its associated debugger, a developer is able to download his code, run it, set breakpoints, display memory and registers and connect his own proprietary h/w via the expansion connectors, to be incorporated to a desired system with the MPC8XX processor.

The preferred technique places the new YAMON in the opposite Flash bank (the Db1200 boards have two Flash banks), and then changes switch S11 to swap the Flash banks in the memory map to allow the other Flash bank to become the boot bank. Application Note Abstract This Application Note introduces a complete and detailed PSoC® project. Telephone Call Logger keeps the detailed record of approximately 945 phone calls (7-digit number is assumed to be one phone call) including date, start time and the duration of the phone call in the PSoC device. Users can get this detailed report into the PC environment by using free software, which is included in the project file. When records reach near full capacity of the Flash memory, an LED will turn on to show that it is necessary to backup the data. Software gets the data from PSoC, organizes it and prepares a printable version. Additionally, it sends the date and time information to the PSoC. The external parts in this project can be obtained easily in the market.

This example provides a description of how to use a DMA channel to transfer a word data buffer from memory (Flash) to memory (RAM). The dedicated DMA channel is configured to transfer once a time a 32 word data buffer stored as constant in the Flash memory to another buffer in the RAM memory. The received data are stored in the DST_Buffer. The DMA channel transfer complete interrupt is enabled to generate an interrupt at the end of the buffer transfer. As soon as the transfer is completed an interrupt is generated and in the DMA channel interrupt routine the transfer complete interrupt pending bit is cleared. The data counter is stored before and after the transfer to show that all data has been transfered. TransferStatus gives the data transfer status where it is PASSED if transmitted and received data are the same otherwise it is FAILED
