This Unix C code monitors a web server every few minutes by trying to retrieve its home page. It sends you email when it can t connect, and every so often while the server is still down. It sends a final message when it comes back up. If you have email paging, just direct the email to your pager address.

What I am trying to introduce here is a full fledged Java Instant messenger, which has all the features supplied by commercial messengers like Yahoo or MSN. Although it cannot compared to be in par with those messengers, it is an attempt by me to learn Advanced Java and JNI concepts. The challenges I faced here were often overcome by referring to numerous sites, which nearly zeroes in or completely solved the issues I faced at that point of time. It improved my learning curve and also believe would do the same to you too. Ofcourse, there are some bugs and glitches, which I hope you would excuse. Thanks to anyone who takes the pain to report them or even suggest better way of doing things to me.

I was trying to develope a programme to make a slide show of all the pictures of a folder using vb.net. I have spent lot of time in net for searching this but all in vain, I didn t get a simple programme to solve the same and lastly I gave myself a try for the same and developed the code, I have used there a folderbrowserdialogue and a timer with a picture box control and in coding I have used IO name spaces to get the pathe and folder info here is the code. It overcomes thermal gradient and placement issues encountered when trying to place external sensors. PCB component count decreases when using a device that provides multiple inputs.Better temperature sensing improves product performance and reliability. Disk drive data integrity suffers at elevated temperatures. IBM published an article stating that a 5°C rise in operating temperature causes a 15% increase in the drive’s failure rate. The overall performance of a system can be improved by providing a more accurate temperature measurement of the most critical devices allowing them to run just a few degrees hotter.The LM83 directly senses its own temperature and the temperature of three external PN junctions. One is dedicated to the CPU of choice, the other two go to other parts of your system that need thermal monitoring such as the disk drive or graphics chip. The SMBus-compatible LM83 supports SMBus timeout and logic levels. The LM83 has two interrupt outputs; one for user-programmable limits and WATCHDOG capability (INT), the other is a Critical Temperature Alarm output (T_CRIT_A) for system power supply shutdown.
