This a very simple Yee algorithm 3D FDTD code in C implementing the free space form of Maxwell s equations on a Cartesian grid. There are no internal materials or geometry. The code as delivered simulates an idealized rectangular waveguide by treating the interior of the mesh as free space/air and enforcing PEC (perfect Electric Conductor) conditions on the faces of the mesh.

American Gladiator,You are consulting for a game show in which n contestants are pitted against n gladiators in order to see which contestants are the best. The game show aims to rank the contestants in order of strength this is done via a series of 1-on-1 matches between contestants and gladiators. If the contestant is stronger than the gladiator, then the contestant wins the match otherwise, the gladiator wins the match. If the contestant and gladiator have equal strength, then they are “perfect equals” and a tie is declared. We assume that each contestant is the perfect equal of exactly one gladiator, and each gladiator is the perfect equal of exactly one contestant. However, as the gladiators sometimes change from one show to another, we do not know the ordering of strength among the gladiators.

The script constructs and implements a linear equalizer object and a decision feedback equalizer (DFE) object. It also initializes and invokes a maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) equalizer. This demo shows the BER performance of linear, decision feedback (DFE), and maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) equalizers when operating in a static channel with a deep null. The MLSE equalizer is invoked first with perfect channel knowledge, then with an imperfect, although straightforward, channel estimation algorithm. The BER results are determined through Monte Carlo simulation. The demo shows how to use these equalizers seamlessly across multiple blocks of data, where equalizer state must be maintained between data blocks.
