Visual tracking is one of the key components for robots to accomplish a given task in a dynamic environment, especially when independently MOVING objects are included. This paper proposes an extension of Adaptive Visual Servoing (hereafter, AVS) for unknown MOVING object tracking. The method utilizes binocular stereo vision, but does not need the knowledge of camera parameters. Only one assumption is that the system need stationary references in the both images by which the system can predict the motion of unknown MOVING objects. The basic ideas how we extended the AVS method such that it can track unknown MOVING objects are given and formalized into a new AVS system. The experimental results with proposed control architecture are shown and a discussion is given.

ECE345, Visual-to-Audio Electronic Travel Aid Code for TM320C54x (v2a.asm) download This project involves the design and implementation of a audio synthesis device that converts MOVING images into audio signals. The system is built on a TM320C54x DSP with interface to an IMAQ camera module via the serial port on a PC. Brief description: A LabVIEW VI acquires an image from the IMAQ camera module. It quantizes the image into a 5x5, 3-bit image, and sends the data to the TM320C54x DSP via a serial port. The TM320C54x DSP constructs a 64-tap FIR by combining a series of 64-tap head related transfer functions (HRTF) according to the incoming data, and then filters an input audio signal with this FIR filter, in effect creating a correspondence between the filtered signal and the original image.

This article presents GISCoordinate.java - a class that allows you to represent a GIS coordinate in your JAVA code in decimal degrees (38.4443, e.g. 122.33433) , minute degrees (33 44 22E, 122 33 44N), or radian degrees. This article covers many of the fundamentals of analog video. Video is defined for our purposes here as "MOVING pictures." Still imaging, like what is found in digital still cameras or scanners, is not covered. The requirements for still imaging do have a lot in common with those for video, but the differences are significant enough to be dealt with as a separate discipline.
