Microengineering and Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) have very few watertight definitions regarding their subjects and technologies. Microengineering can be described as the techniques, technologies, and practices involved in the realization of structures and devices with dimensions on the order of micrometers. MEMS often refer to mechanical devices with dimensions on the order of micrometers fabricated using techniques originating in the integrated circuit (IC) industry, with emphasis on silicon-based structures and integrated microelectronic circuitry. However, the term is now used to refer to a much wider range of microengineered devices and technologies.

This book will discuss the topic of Control Systems, which is an interdisciplinary engineering topic. Methods considered here will consist of both "Classical" control methods, and "Modern" control methods. Also, discretely sampled systems (digital/computer systems) will be considered in parallel with the more common analog methods. This book will not focus on any single engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, chemical, etc.), although readers should have a solid foundation in the fundamentals of at least one discipline.

Now using solidworks for 3D modeling, design and manufacture a master-slave desktop-level robot arm based on stm32f103c8t6 single-chip microcomputer. The robot arm includes an active robot arm and a slave robot arm, which uses Bluetooth to transmit signals for synchronous motion. The material selection, structural design, working principle, components and design features of the manipulator are introduced.
