penMesh is a generic and efficient data structure for representing and manipulating polygonal meshes. OpenMesh is developed at the Computer Graphics Group, RWTH Aachen , as part of the OpenSGPlus project, is funded by the German Ministry for Research and Education ( BMBF), and will serve as geometry kernel upon which the so-called high level primitives (e.g. subdivision surfaces or progressive meshes) of OpenSGPlus are built. It was designed with the following goals in mind : Flexibility : provide a basis for many different algorithms without the need for adaptation. Efficiency : maximize time efficiency while keeping memory usage as low as possible. Ease of use : wrap complex internal structure in an easy-to-use interface.

Universal Serial Bus (USB) is a communications architecture that gives a personal computer (PC) the ability to interconnect a variety of devices using a simple four- wire cable. The USB is actually a two-wire serial communication link that runs at either 1.5 or 12 megabits per second (mbs). USB protocols can configure devices at startup or when they are plugged in at run time. These devices are broken into various device classes. The MPC8XXFADS is meant to serve as a platform for s/ w and h/w development around the MPC8XX family processors. Using its on-board resources and its associated debugger, a developer is able to download his code, run it, set breakpoints, display memory and registers and connect his own proprietary h/w via the expansion connectors, to be incorporated to a desired system with the MPC8XX processor.

The Lite Evaluation/Demonstration Kit is intended to illustrate use of the AN3042. The AN3042 is compliant to the PCI 2.1 Local Bus specification. Included in the kit is a PCI add-in card, Windows drivers, demonstration applications, and documentation of the hardware and software provided. The microprocessor used on the PCI add-in card is the Motorola MPC860. The applications themselves serve as documentation on how to interface with the drivers, and also may be used to test the AN3042 on the user s prototype board.
