H.264/AVC是ITU与ISO/IEC(International Standard Organization/Intemational Electrotechnical Commission国际标准化组织/国际电工委员会)联合推出的活动图像编码标准。作为最新的国际视频编码标准,H.264/AVC与MPEG-4、H.263等视频编码标准相比,性能有了很大提高,并已在流媒体、数字电视、电话会议、视频存储等诸多领域得到广泛的应用。基于上下文的自适应二进制算术编码(Conrext-based Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding,CABAC)是H.264/AVC的两个熵编码方案之一,相对于另一熵编码方案-CAVLC(基于上下文的自适应可变长编码),CABAC具有更高的数据压缩率:在同等编码质量下要比CAVLC提高10%~15%的压缩率。CABAC能实现很高的数据压缩率,但这是以增加实现的复杂性为代价的。在已有的硬件实现方法上,CABAC的解码效率并不高。 论文在深入研究CABAC解码算法及其实现流程,并在仔细分析了H.264/AVC码流结构的基础上,总结出了影响CABAC解码效率的各个环节,并以此为出发点,对CABAC解码所需中的各个功能模块进行了优化设计,设计出一种新的CABAC解码器结构,相对于一般的CABAC解码器,它的解码效率得到了显著提高。论文针对影响CABAC解码过程的"瓶颈"问题一多次访问存储部件影响解码速率,提出了新的存储组织方式,并根据CABAC的码流结构特性,采用4个子解码器级联的方式来进一步提高解码速率。 最后,用Verilog语言对所设计的CABAC解码器进行了描述,用EDA软件对其进行了仿真,并在FPGA上验证了其功能,结果显示,该CABAC解码器结构显著提高了解码效率,能够满足高档次实时通讯的要求。

Based on thenew device concept of charge compensation the RDS(on) areaproduct for e.g. 600V transistors has been reduced by afactor of 5. The devices show no bipolar current contributionlike the well known tail current observed during the turn-offphase of IGBTs. CoolMOS™ virtually combines the lowswitching losses of a MOSFET with the on-state losses of anIGBT.

Differential Nonlinearity: Ideally, any two adjacent digitalcodes correspond to output analog voltages that are exactlyone LSB apart. Differential non-linearity is a measure of theworst case deviation from the ideal 1 LSB step. For example,a DAC with a 1.5 LSB output change for a 1 LSB digital codechange exhibits 1⁄2 LSB differential non-linearity. Differentialnon-linearity may be expressed in fractional bits or as a percentageof full scale. A differential non-linearity greater than1 LSB will lead to a non-monotonic transfer function in aDAC.Gain Error (Full Scale Error): The difference between theoutput voltage (or current) with full scale input code and theideal voltage (or current) that should exist with a full scale inputcode.Gain Temperature Coefficient (Full Scale TemperatureCoefficient): Change in gain error divided by change in temperature.Usually expressed in parts per million per degreeCelsius (ppm/°C).Integral Nonlinearity (Linearity Error): Worst case deviationfrom the line between the endpoints (zero and full scale).Can be expressed as a percentage of full scale or in fractionof an LSB.LSB (Lease-Significant Bit): In a binary coded system thisis the bit that carries the smallest value or weight. Its value isthe full scale voltage (or current) divided by 2n, where n is theresolution of the converter.Monotonicity: A monotonic function has a slope whose signdoes not change. A monotonic DAC has an output thatchanges in the same direction (or remains constant) for eachincrease in the input code. the converse is true for decreasing codes.

The methodology and design guidelinesare developed.By using a boost PFC circuit as an example, an equivalent circuit model is builtfor EMI noise prediction and analysis. The parasitic elements of circuit layout andcomponents are extracted analytically or by using CAD tools. Based on the model, circuitlayout and magnetic component design are modified to minimize circuit EMI. EMI filtercan be designed at an early stage without prototype implementation.In the second part, thermal analyses are conducted for the circuit by using thesoftware Flotherm, which includes the mechanism of conduction, convection andradiation. Thermal models are built for the components. Thermal performance of thecircuit and the temperature profile of components are predicted. Improved thermalmanagement and winding arrangement are investigated to reduce temperature.In the third part, several circuit layouts and inductor design examples are checkedfrom both the EMI and thermal point of view. Insightful information is obtained.

Industrial remote monitoring systems and keep-alivecircuits spend most of their time in standby mode. Manyof these systems also depend on battery power, so powersupply effi ciency in standby state is very important tomaximize battery life. The LT®8410/-1 high effi ciencyboost converter is ideal for these systems, requiringonly 8.5μA of quiescent current in standby mode. Thedevice integrates high value (12.4M/0.4M) output feedbackresistors, signifi cantly reducing input current whenthe output is in regulation with no load.
