This demo shows the BER performance of linear, decision feedback (DFE), and maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) equalizers when operating in a static channel with a deep null. The MLSE equalizer is invoked first with perfect channel knowledge, then with an imperfect, although straightforward, channel estimation algorithm. The BER results are determined through Monte Carlo simulation. The demo shows how to use these equalizers seamlessly across multiple blocks of data, where equalizer state must be maintained between data blocks.

Boost provides free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries. We emphasize libraries that work well with the C++ Standard Library. Boost libraries are intended to be widely useful, and usable across a broad spectrum of applications. The Boost license encourages both commercial and non-commercial use. We aim to establish "existing practice" and provide reference implementations so that Boost libraries are suitable for eventual standardization. Ten Boost libraries are already included in the C++ Standards Committee s Library Technical Report (TR1) as a step toward becoming part of a future C++ Standard. More Boost libraries are proposed for the upcoming TR2. Boost works on almost any modern operating system, including UNIX and Windows variants. Follow the Getting Started Guide to download and install Boost. Popular Linux and Unix distributions such as Fedora, Debian, and NetBSD include pre-built Boost packages. Boost may also already be available on your organization s internal web server.

Distributed applications, devices, and services appear in many different arrangements in an enterprise. At your company, you probably access data from your intranet services, from computers distributed throughout the company network, and from services across the firewall out on the Web. For example, you might access a calendar-sharing application or a financial application to fill out expense sheets. Someone must maintain all these applications. Not only the applications, but also the hardware that supports them must be maintained. Resource management encompasses both applications and hardware. In fact, both application and hardware management can be supported through the development of Java Management Extensions (JMX) resource management software. This book will show how you can use JMX to manage and monitor all your resources across an enterprise—both software and hardware.

Unix Unleashed, Third Edition is written with the power user and system administrator in mind. This book will help the reader understand the nuances of the major Unix variants including SVR4, HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, BSD, IRIX, SunOS, and Linux. It will help the reader decide which Unix shell works best for their particular situation. Other topics such as Kernel Configuration, Networking, User Administration, and File Management are covered extensively for the administrator who wants a variety of options to choose from for best performance. The book also provides in-depth coverage of configuring and optimizing mail, DNS, HTTP and other services many companies deploy across their intranet and on the Internet

Recovering 3-D structure from motion in noisy 2-D images is a problem addressed by many vision system researchers. By consistently tracking feature points of interest across multiple images using a methodology first described by Lucas-Kanade, a 3-D shape of the scene can be reconstructed using these features points using the factorization method developed by Tomasi-Kanade.

This is a mutlicore and cluster(of single-core,multi-core systems) matrix inversion code. Which uses the MPI(Message Passing Interface) for communication across the compute nodes of cluster and using thread-API based OpenMP(Open Multi Processing) between cores of intra-compute or head node.

MATSNL is a package of MATLAB M-files for computing wireless sensor node lifetime/power budget and solving optimal node architecture choice problems. It is intended as an analysis and simulation tool for researchers and educators that are easy to use and modify. MATSNL is designed to give the rough power/ lifetime predictions based on node and application specifications while giving useful insight on platform design for the large node lifetime by providing side-by-side comparison across various platforms. The MATSNL code and manual can be found at the bottom of this page. A related list of publications describing the models used in MATSNL is posted on the ENALAB part of the 2 project at http://www.eng.yale.edu/enalab/aspire.htm

GSM (Global System for Mobile communications: originally from Groupe Spécial Mobile) is the most popular standard for mobile phones in the world. Its promoter, the GSM Association, estimates that 80 of the global mobile market uses the standard.[1] GSM is used by over 3 billion people across more than 212 countries and territories.[2][3] Its ubiquity makes international roaming very common between mobile phone operators, enabling subscribers to use their phones in many parts of the world
