A Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) binds cryptographic public keys to physical entities through DIGITAL certificates. A PKI includes components that issue DIGITAL certificates and distribute certificate status information. PKI users select one or more certificate issuers as trust anchors, and establish security services based on certificates that may be validated using one of their trust anchors.

Abstract - A fl exible multiscale and directional representation for images is proposed. The scheme combines directional fi lter banks with the Laplacian pyramid to provides a sparse representation for two- dimensional piecewise smooth signals resembling images. The underlying expansion is a frame and can be designed to be a tight frame. Pyramidal directional fi lter banks provide an effective method to implement the DIGITAL curvelet transform. The regularity issue of the iterated fi lters in the directional fi lter bank is examined.

The software and hardware development fields evolved along separate paths through the end of the 20th century. We seem to have come full circle, however. The previously rigid hardware on which our programs run is softening in many ways. Embedded systems are largely responsible for this softening. These hidden computing systems drive the electronic products around us, including consumer products like DIGITAL cameras and personal DIGITAL assistants, office automation equipment like copy machines and printers, medical devices like heart monitors and ventilators, and automotive electronics like cruise controls and antilock brakes. Embedded systems force designers to work under incredibly tight time-tomarket, power consumption, size, performance, flexibility, and cost constraints. Many technologies introduced over the past two decades have sought to help satisfy these constraints. To understand these technologies, it is important to first distinguish the underlying embedded systems elements.

The Open Radar Data Acquisition (ORDA) subsystem replaces the current WSR-88D Radar Data Acquisition subsystem with improved receiver and signal processing hardware and with improved user interface, signal processing and diagnostics software. This paper will discuss the input data from the DIGITAL receiver, the ORDA signal processing, and the data output from the ORDA hardware. Specifications of the ORDA DIGITAL receiver will be presented. The paper outlines the critical radar signal processing flow and provides analysis of new spectrum width computations and clutter filtering schemes used in the ORDA system. Where appropriate, ORDA performance enhancements, data quality improvements and reliability and maintenance improvements will be highlighted.
