This paper introduces a car reverse ranging warning system, which is based on PIC16F877 single chip microcomputer control. Ultrasonic ranging is used to calculate the distance between the obstacle object and the back of the car by PIC16F877 single chip microcomputer, and the infrared induction monitoring is carried out in the area that cannot be seen. It also uses the LCD screen to reflect the distance from the obstacle to the back of the car, and an alarm goes off, in order to let the driver quickly understand the situation of the rear of the car, and take corresponding measures to improve the safety of reversing.
